Does CBR ban crypto in Russia? Don’t worry
The entire information field is in full swing with discussions of the report of the Central Bank of Russia, in which the financial regulator lists the risks of cryptocurrencies and speaks of the need to limit their release, exchange and circulation in the country.
At the same time, Elizaveta Danilova, Director of the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Russia, emphasized that Russians will be able to purchase cryptocurrencies on foreign crypto exchanges and own them.
What will happen next? Below you’ll find the official comment of the founder of the Blockchain Life forum Sergey Khitrov:
“The Central Bank has always advocated a ban on cryptocurrencies. This is no secret to anyone. Even security agencies do not adhere to such a strict position and do not exclude the possibility of regulating this area.
Such statements are regularly made every 1.5-2 years. It is quite possible that they were caused today by unclear market manipulations or an attempt to score political points.
Moreover, the Government and the President of the Russian Federation, as well as many representatives of the chambers of parliament and other structures, take a much softer position regarding the regulation of the new market.
I emphasize that there is no talk of any confirmed global bans at all. And I repeat that there is absolutely no reason to worry.
There is nothing wrong with such disputes and discussions. We need a dialogue between the crypto community and the state and Blockchain Life will traditionally become a platform for it.”
What will happen to the market in the future and what it is worth preparing for – we will learn from state representatives at the forum in April!
